Avallon
Picturesque old town whose church was built in the 12th century, acquired a bit of the skull of St. Lazarus
and had to be extended to fit in all the pilgrims – they dismantled the west façade and moved it far enough
to add two bays to the nave. It is now sadly damp.

The Hôtel de la Poste is a fine example of an old coaching inn.
