Pays de Bray
and surrounding areas
Bray was the Celtic word for mud. This geological enclave is an intrusion of clay soil into the surrounding chalk. The Pays de Bray straddles the Départements of Seine-Maritime and Oise, and is most famous for its cheese – particularly the soft, white Neufchâtel.
