Calais | |
A town pretty much obliterated during 1944, Calais has little to recommend it except the vast square in front of the rebuilt Hôtel de Ville, Rodin's statue of the Burghers of Calais in the same place, the busiest passenger port in France and a vast selkecton of hypermarkets, malls and outlets for voracious British day-trippers. |
