| Though a Cathedral city and a town of
some importance in the Calvados, the fame of Lisieux is due to one girl,
Sainte Thérèse of the Infant Jesus. The vast Basilica in 1900s byzantine
style dominates the town from a hill on its outskirts, and welcomes pilgrims
from all over the world.
