Mauvézin
The name is a corruption of Mauvais Voisin - a bad neighbour (to its enemies at least).
A typical bastide , it also retains its castle, built in 1380 by Gaston Phébus and currently being restored, on a hill overlooking the town.
The market hall (set in an exceptionally spacious square) has a plaque commemorating a Republican Feast in 1911.
