Pont de Normandie | |
Until the middle of the twentieth century the lowest bridge on the river Seine was at Rouen, which meant that although Honfleur and Le Havre were in sight of each other, the road journey between them was a matter of 80 miles. Now there are three splendid modern bridges, the Ponts de Tancarville, Brotonne and finally Normandie, reducing the journey to less than ten miles. |
